I am not from CT. I always see Duchess restaurants and billboards. I finally decided to try it and was definitely impressed. I got the big D burger (lol). It was basically a Whopper but better in every way. Tastier, juicier beef, softer bread, better pickles... I was still hungry so I ordered the buffalo bites - they really surprised me! It was whole white meat. Not the weird ground meat in conventional fast food nuggets. And it was JUICY! Finally I finished with fried Oreos. It's hard to go wrong with fried Oreos. The only down side from my first experience at Duchess was the wait. It was a bit slower than, say, McDonalds but I got the impression they are actually COOKING the food. Not just heating it up. Next time I want fast food I'm opting for Duchess instead of McDonalds.
Pretty good for a duchess. The food came out hot, fresh, and relatively quickly for being a duchess! The only reason I deducted a star was because the person at the register seemed a bit annoyed with me when I asked her a few questions but, other than that everything was pretty good. Because the food is fresh at duchess, it always takes a while for the food to be made, especially during a lunch or dinner rush. This particular location was empty during the lunch rush tho. The parking is ample and the inside is clean.
